GI Plenum Box

The plenum is the diffuser's lungs: a GI box that takes the duct's round spigot and feeds the diffuser's face evenly, with an optional damper for balancing and acoustic lining for quiet. Built to match each diffuser model and the true site depth above the ceiling.

Common questions

Why does a diffuser need a plenum box?

The box converts the duct's round, concentrated discharge into even flow across the diffuser face, carries the balancing damper, and decouples terminal noise: a diffuser without a plenum performs like a hole with a lid.

Are plenums made to the actual ceiling depth?

Yes: depth is built to the true void above the ceiling, measured on site. Standard heights exist, but the box is fabricated to fit, not the ceiling shimmed to suit the box.
