Other Products
Wire-helix flexible ducts, insulated or plain: the last metre from main duct to diffuser, bending where sheet metal won't.
Terminal selection
Perimeter and sill installations want grilles: aimable blades that direct air along a surface. Occupied ceilings want diffusers: swirl or radial faces that mix air into the room within a short distance. Very tall or long spaces want jet nozzles: focused columns that keep their energy across throws ordinary terminals cannot reach. Exhaust points want disk valves.
| Terminal | Discharge pattern | Best for | Keep it away from |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grille (single / double deflection) | Flat, aimable sheet of air | Perimeter and sill supply, return and exhaust, under-window runs | Wide occupied ceilings, where mixing matters more than aim |
| Linear slot diffuser | Continuous directional line | Modern office ceilings and architectural perimeters | Long-throw duty in tall halls |
| Ceiling / swirl diffuser | Radial or swirling, high induction | Offices, hospitals, hotels: occupied ceilings | Very tall spaces, where air must travel far |
| Jet nozzle | Focused column, long throw | Airports, auditoriums, stadiums, high-ceiling halls | Low ceilings, where a focused jet becomes a draft |
| Disk valve | Conical spread or tight jet | Toilet and pantry exhaust, spot supply | Large supply zones |
Longer answers: grille or diffuser? and what throw distance really means. The terminals live in Air Distribution Products; the valves that balance them in Air Control Products.
