Fire and Smoke Damper

Smoke travels faster and further than flame, and the FSD stops both: fire-rated blades plus smoke-leakage performance, driven by actuators that respond to smoke detectors and the building management system. The life-safety damper for hospitals, high-rises and every compartment where smoke must not cross.

Common questions

Where are fire dampers required?

Wherever a duct penetrates a fire-rated wall, slab or shaft. Codes treat them as life-safety devices: never the line item to value-engineer out of a penetration.

How does a fire damper work?

A 120°C thermal fuse or spring-return actuator slams the blades shut when heat arrives, so the duct stops carrying flame and smoke between compartments.
